Qualifications

Education & Credentials

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline. Professional certifications in cost engineering or project management (such as AACE, PMP, or equivalent) are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of 2 to 4 years of professional experience in cost estimation, project costing, or cost engineering within the industrial, manufacturing, or engineering services sector.
Experience with equipment supply and installation projects is strongly preferred. Familiarity with air pollution control systems, dust collection, or HVAC & Rsystems is a significant advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools (such as RSMeans, Timberline, or similar platforms).
  • Strong knowledge of material costs, labor rates, and overhead allocation methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for cost modeling, data analysis, and financial projections.
  • Familiarity with project management software and ERP systems is beneficial.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex cost analyses to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive approach to continuous learning and staying current with industry cost trends and methodologies.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Technical Sales Engineer to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be the primary technical resource and product advocate for our Manufacturing and Industrial Plant sector. You will be responsible for driving the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working closely with clients to understand their complex engineering needs and providing tailored solutions.
